Virgil van Dijk speaks out on FIFA Best awards ahead of the ceremony

FIFA The Best is already today and ahead of the ceremony Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk, who has been nominated for the FIFA Men's Player award, has revealed that it's amazing to get recognition for the season they had. Along with Van Dijk, his teammate Alisson Becker has been nominated for the Best FIFA Men’s Goalkeeper award and Jurgen Klopp is shortlisted for Best FIFA Men’s Coach award. “It’s special to be here,” Van Dijk told Liverpoolfc.com. “It’s also very special to be here with the gaffer and Alisson. And we’ll see what it’s going to bring us. “It’s obviously amazing to get recognition for the season we all had last year, including with my country. To be here is something I’m definitely proud of, I’ll enjoy every bit of it. We’ll see who’s going to get that trophy.” The ceremony will be held in Milan, Italy today, September 23 at 7:30 p.m. via Liverpool FC
