Rashford, Alexander-Arnold, Sterling: TOP 10 most valuable players in Europe by CIES


CIES Football Observatory algorithm presented the traditional biannual list of the most valuable players in the top-5 leagues of Europe. The independent research group releases a list, ranking players around the world with an exclusive algorithm. Age, recent performance, contract length, club side and the national team are among the factors taken into account. Manchester United star Marcus Rashford has been named the world’s most valuable player.  Marcus Rashford - Market Value: €165m  Manchester United forward is now the most valuable player of Europe. The England international is tied down at Old Trafford until 2024, but the study suggests United would receive a windfall were they to cash in on the England international. Erling Haaland- Market Value: €152m Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland is second in Europe. Haaland is currently one of the greatest players as he has scored 17 goals and has created 3 assists in 15 games for the Bundesliga side. His deal with the club runs out until 2024. Trent Alexander-Arnold- Market Value: €151.6m  Liverpool defender Alexander-Arnold completes the top 3 of the most valuable players. Bruno Fernandes- Market Value: €151.1m Manchester United signed Bruno Fernandes last January on €55.00m deal. Now, according to CIES, his market value is €151.1m. Kylian Mbappe- Market Value: €149.4m Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe is the fifth most valuable player in Europe. He has scored 14 goals and has created 7 assists in 19 games so far. Jadon Sancho- Market Value: €148.3m Borussia Dortmund winger Sancho is also amongst the most valuable players. The England international has long been linked with a move to Manchester United, however, his price tag has been stumbling block for the deal to be completed. Joao Felix- Market Value: €141.5m Atletico Madrid youngster Joao Felix is another star who has been included in CIES' list. The Portuguese player has scored eight goals and has provided four assists in 21 games so far this season. Alphonso Davies- Market Value: €139.2m Bayern Munich player Alphonso Davies is also on the list. The player has registered one assist in 12 outings for the German club, however, he continues to be one of the best players in the current football. Raheem Sterling - Market Value: €136.9m Manchester City star Raheem Sterling continues to be in the list of the most valuable players in Europe. The England international has scored seven goals and has created 8 assists in his 23 games for City. His deal with the club expires in 2023. He has scored four goals and has created five assists in 21 games. His deal with the club expires in 2025.
