Former Everton defender Michael Ball has named three players the Toffees must sell during the summer transfer window: Sandro Ramirez, Yannick Bolasie and Muhamed Besic.
Ramirez and Bolasie are nearing the end of their contracts in the summer of 2021, while Besic, currently returned from a loan spell at Sheffield United, is on the transfer market as well.
Speaking about the players, Ball has revealed the forgotten trio is "not good enough" to play in Everton's first-team squad.
He told
Liverpool Echo:
“They’re not good enough to play in our starting XI. We’re moving forward as a club and unfortunately they are not going to be part of that.
They have to be professional themselves, own up, and say, ‘Okay, it hasn’t worked out’. You don’t want to be sat unhappy at a club and not playing. Any footballer wants to play.
Yes, we offered them big contracts at the time, we know that, but they have to be honest with themselves now. They have to play football. Money goes out the window.
Everton will be hoping there are takers but Bolasie and Sandro will be difficult to shift.”
