Jose Enrique has praised Oleksandr Zinchenko as the top left-back in the Premier League.
During an interview with Squawka, the former Newcastle full-back was asked to name the current best left-back in the division, and he ultimately chose the Arsenal player.
While acknowledging mentions of Pervis Estupinan and Andy Robertson, Enrique concluded that, in his opinion, Zinchenko stands out as the best left-back in the league.
“I don’t know, I love Zinchenko, I love him for example. Best one? I’m not sure, for me, all others fit, I love Robertson to be honest with you. And not because he plays for Liverpool. I really love him, I think he’s top-class. But with all the injuries that you mentioned from the top teams as well, I love Estupinan from Brighton as well. But I think Zinchenko, I like Zinchenko a lot from a top team that really like to have the ball and everything like that, he’s a complete full-back. I like him a lot,” Enrique said, via TBR Football.
It's essential to remember that left-back is not Zinchenko's natural position; he originally emerged as a midfielder and continues to play in that role for his national team. Despite not being a left-back by profession, he has established himself as one of the top players in that position in the Premier League.
Zinchenko's impactful performances since joining Arsenal have significantly contributed to the team's impressive defensive record this season.
