"How the mighty have fallen"-Jose Mourinho mocked for enthusiastic celebrations after Spurs reach Europa League

Tottenham Hotspur took a point from Selhurst Park against Crystal Palace to secure European football next season by the narrowest of margins, beating Wolves into the Europa League on goal difference. Harry Kane opened the scoring against Palace to make it 14 goals in 19 matches Mourinho but Jeffrey Schlupp equalised for the Eagles. The Portuguese boss made disparaging comments about the Champions League's less prestigious smaller league recently. He compared playing in the competition to Lewis Hamilton winning Formula Two and fans mocked him for celebrating Tottenham's qualification. After the game, Mourinho was mocked by fans of other Premier League clubs. "Jose Mourinho wildly celebrating a 1-1 draw against Palace to get Spurs into the Europa League. How the mighty have fallen. Wow," wrote one fan. "In Mourinho celebrating the top 6 he has become what he made fun of Arsene Wenger for," smirked a second. "Mourinho got slaughtered for coming 2nd, now it’s acceptable to finish 4th, added another. "Spurs football club and Jose Mourinho, celebrating getting into the Europa League by goal difference. Arsenal football club will always be levels above that club," crowed a Gooner.       Source: Daily Star
