Harry Maguire responds to criticism from United fans

Manchester United defender Harry Maguire has urged the club fans not to judge him so early for his game. The England international became the world’s most expensive defender, being signed for £80million from Leicester during the summer transfer window. Maguire has experienced a difficult start at United, as the Red Devils have just won two of their Premier League games standing down on 12th place near the relegation zone. Responding to the criticism towards him, the 26-year-old urged United fans to judge him over a period of time, rather than based on his first few games at the club. He said: "I think it's the long term, that's what the main thing is. In five or six years' time, judge me then - whether I have been a success at this club or not. And I do believe and am really confident that, in five or six years’ time, I’ll be a success and I am sure we’ll have many, many good times here. We need to keep improving as a team, not just me as an individual. I feel, if we improve as a team, I'll be a success too.”
