Giannis Antetokounmpo has taken to Instagram to send a message to Carmelo Anthony who has announced of his retirement from the NBA.
Anthony announced his retirement on Monday, May 22, 2023 when on the same day LA Lakers suffered a defeat to Denver Nuggets in the Conference Finals series with a 4-0 score and were eliminated from the NBA Playoffs.
The 38-year-old has played for Denver Nuggets, New York Knicks, Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets as well as Portland Trail Blazers and Los ANgeles Lakers during his career.
Taking to Instagram, Giannis posted a picture with a caption: "Thank you for pushing me higher and congratulations on a legendary career 💪🏾🙌🏾 #STAYME7O @carmeloanthony."
