Frank Lampard has confirmed that Kalidou Koulibaly will miss Chelsea's upcoming clashes against Brighton and Real Madrid.
The French-born Senegalese defender was forced to sub off during the Champions League's tie at the Santiago Bernabeu due to a muscular issue.
The Blues faced a 2 - 0 defeat to Los Blancos in the first leg of the quarter-finals and are set to host Carlo Ancelotti's side in a decisive meeting on April 18 in London.
However, Lampard and his team are yet to play against Albion in the Premier League this weekend. Ahead of the clash, the manager held a press conference where he gave an update on the 31-year-old's fitness.
"He won't be available for either game. A matter of weeks rather than days.'
"He's a very good, very experienced player. People talk a lot about our squad, Champions League squad is different to Premier League and a disappointment but also an opportunity." stated the 44-year-old boss via Football London.
