Daniel Levy jokingly told James Maddison to stop driving a 'red car' to the Tottenham training ground, as revealed during a fans' forum.
Spurs' chairman discussed the acquisition of Maddison over the summer, with the midfielder joining Tottenham from Leicester City for approximately £40 million.
Maddison has had a significant impact under manager Ange Postecoglou, scoring two goals and providing two assists in five Premier League matches for Spurs.
Despite his on-field success contributing to the club's strong league position, Levy humorously mentioned having a conversation with Maddison about his choice of car during a 90-minute fan's forum.
“James needs to learn that he can’t come to the training ground in a red car. I’ve told him. He’ll learn," he said, via TBR Football.
