Chelsea suffer blow in pursuit of Real Madrid outcast

Chelsea target Luka Jovic wants to stay and fight for his place at Real Madrid, according to The Sun.

Jovic has struggled to make any impact at Madrid since completing a €65m (£55m) move from Frankfurt.

Chelsea wanted to sign the player as they need a striker to ease the burden on Tammy Abraham.

The 22-year-old, who scored 27 goals across the league and European competition for Frankfurt last season, has only netted once in 14 appearances in his first campaign for Madrid.
