Pep Guardiola has indicated that Manchester City may make some changes in their tactics for the second leg of the match against Real Madrid, as they seek to take advantage of their home ground.
After drawing 1-1 in the first leg at the Bernabeu, the City boss reflected on the need for more space for striker Erling Haaland and some defensive adjustments. He said, "We expect to adjust a bit in the second leg. I have a bit of an idea on what we need to do...We have to see if we can defend a little bit better in some departments and attack," via Manchester Evening News. According to the coach, everything will be better understood after they watch the match once again.
Guardiola also acknowledged the need to improve, as the team that plays better at Etihad Stadium would go through to the final to face either Inter Milan or AC Milan.
Yesterday, on May 9, Real Madrid scored their only goal of the first half through Vinicius Jr, who netted a stunning 25-yard shot after a great run by Eduardo Camavinga. In the second half, Real Madrid started to dominate but Manchester City managed to equalize through Kevin De Bruyne's powerful shot from a similar distance that found the bottom corner of the net.
Manchester City have been unbeaten in their last 21 games in all competitions, which includes 17 victories. If they win seven more games, they will achieve the Treble.
