Thierry Henry has expressed his amusement at Kyle Walker's performance for Manchester City against Real Madrid in the Champions League semi-finals.
Arsenal legend described Walker as a "beast" and emphasized that facing him is a losing battle. Despite previously praising Vinicius Jr as one of the best wingers in the world, Henry witnessed him being neutralized by the Citizens' star in the match, as the Premier League side secured a 4 - 0 victory and a place in the Champions League final.
Walker's recent display highlights his resurgence after facing criticism and being overlooked in favor of a teenager earlier in the season.
“Kyle Walker is a beast. Whenever you have to run with him, then you might as well stop," Henry said as he was discussing the City player's performance on CBS Sports on Paramount+.
“At one point, he was way behind Vinicius Jr and he just caught him. Put his arm, took the ball and said ‘bye’, then went the other way. When it comes to that, he is too good."
After beating Real Madrid in the semis, Manchester City now have the opportunity to win the treble, with Inter Milan and Manchester United now being the remaining obstacles.
