Arsenal make contact with £68m La Liga star

Arsenal have reportedly made contact to sign Guido Rodriguez from Real Betis. However, according to  Estadio Deportivo, the midfielder has no intention of forcing a move away from La Liga high-flyers. As Manuel Pellegrini’s side are under pressure to raise funds this summer, player sales are inevitable. But they would rather sell William Carvalho – the man who has lost his place to Rodriguez in Betis’s starting XI – instead. The ten-time Argentine international has a £68 million release clause in his contract and won’t be slapping down a transfer request any time soon.
