Arsenal legend explains why he would like to be a Liverpool player now

Arsenal legend, Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson has explained why he would love to be a Liverpool player now. Merson has won two titles with Arsenal back in 1988-89 and 1990-91 season. He says he wouldn’t ever believe back than, that Liverpool will be without domestic title for 29 years. Merson said during Sky Sports debate (via LiverpoolECHO): “If I was at a club now I’d want to be at Liverpool. You could make history and do something that will be remembered until the day they die,” “These players are there to make history. “If someone would have said to me 29 years ago that Liverpool were not going to win the league in that long I’d have said, ‘you’re joking me’, “If you were going to say to me every season that you’d start this late in the year one point clear at the top, you’d take that. “But they need to have a meeting and the manager is very important in this. "He needs to calm the players down because they are top of the league. "They’re not chasing anyone, it’s in their hands.” he added. Liverpool are one point ahead of Manchester City with  matches remaining until the end of the season. Merseyside club will face Watford at Anfield Road tomorrow, while Manchester City will host West Ham United at Etihad Stadium.
