Gabriel Jesus has suffered a knee injury and missed Arsenal's Emirates Cup win over Monaco on Wednesday.
The Gunners celebrated a 5-4 on penalties win after the full time ended in a 1-1 draw.
Following the game, Mikel Arteta provided an update on Jesus' injury.
“He had a little procedure this morning, he’s injuried unfortunately," said Arteta.
“He’s had some discomfort in his knee that caused him some issues so they had to go in. He’s going to be out for a few weeks”.
First game that Jesus will miss after Emirates Cup is the Community Shield against Manchester City on August 6, 2023.
He is expected to miss the Gunners' Premeir League opener as well. Arsenal will face Nottingham Forest for the opener on August 12.
