Arsenal legend Ian Wright has praised the transfer of Callum Hudson-Odoi from Chelsea to Nottingham Forest as an incredible bargain.
According to BBC Sport, Hudson-Odoi joined Forest on the summer transfer deadline day for a sum of under £5 million.
Wright expressed his admiration for this deal during an episode of his podcast, Wrighty’s House by saying: “Absolute bargain, absolute bargain.”
The pundit added: “I’m going to give him some flowers because I was pleased for the goal, I’m pleased with what that will do for him, his confidence, and you just hope that now he can continue to play, get some consistency in his game and then we can see that guy we were expecting to see at Chelsea.”
Hudson-Odoi wasted no time adapting to life at the City Ground, as he found the back of the net in his debut for Forest on Monday. He equalized the score for Steve Cooper's team with a superbly executed curling shot, which resulted in a 1-1 draw against Burnley and earned them a valuable point.
