5 Things Tottenham fans to look out for over the international break

Tottenham has suffered a poor start to the season, currently holding 14th position in the Premier League table with 14 points. As now there is the third international break over the season, many Spurs fans will switch off until Premier League returns in a week. Here are 5 things Tottenham supporters need to watch out for over the international break.
  1. Troy Parrott’s Ireland debut
Source- Getty images Tottenham youngster has made his senior debut at the club during Carabao Cup match against Colchester United in September and was included in the squad for the recent 1-1 draw with Everton. Parrott will start for the Republic of Ireland in a friendly against New Zealand on Thursday and Spurs supporters will get the chance to see the youngster in action. And if the 17-year-old scores in a friendly then Tottenham fans will definitely be calling for him to start against West Ham once international break is over.
  1. Ryan Sessegnon’s performance for England U21s
Source- Getty images Spurs fans couldn’t witness so much of Ryan Sessegnon’s actions on the pitch, as he has featured in just 2 fixtures: against Red Star and Everton and missed most of the games due to a hamstring injury. The 19-year-old midfielder moved to the north London club this summer from Fulham, and is to play for England U21s in the upcoming clash with Albania on Friday.

Source- Getty images Another player that have suffered an injury and missed a few matches is Giovani Lo Celso.  He came back to the training after picking up a hip injury on an international duty with Argentina in September. The 23-year-old has showed in his past couple of games what the team have been missing so far this season and he is set to be a key player over the coming months.  Lo Celso has just made 5 appearances since his return including the recent clashes with Red Star and Sheffield United.
  1. Playing time for Tanguy Ndombele
Source- Getty images Ndombele has started against Sheffield United recently, but was substituted at a half-time due an apparent groin injury. However, he is called for an international duty with France and the head coach Didier Deschamps has since said that the player will be fine to take part in their games against Moldova and Albania. Everyone at Spurs will be keeping eyes on Ndombele over the upcoming days and hope he returns with no issues.

Key to the 27-year-old getting back to his best can be how his performance during the international duty for Denmark against Gibraltar and Republic of Ireland in their Euro 2020 qualifiers. Playing an essential role in the previous breaks in September and October, Spurs supporters will be extremely eager to see how he performs given his poor displays in recent weeks for the Spurs.
