Arsenal youngster Gabriel Martinelli earned a praise from former teammate Emi Martinez after impressing in Leeds United win on Tuesday.
Gunners celebrated a 2-0 win over the Whites in the Carabao Cup round of 16 with Callum Chambers and Eddie Nketiah marking their names on the scoresheet.
Martinelli started the game, got on the ball consistently and troubled young Cody Drameh of Leeds United on multiple occasions.
After the game the Brazilian took to Instagram to have his say on the victory.
“Love playing, love winning,” he captioned his post, and former Gunner Martinez, who didn’t have a happy return to the Emirates last week, responded to Martinelli using one word.
‘Fenómeno,’ he said, possibly comparing the youngster to one of Brazil and world football’s greatest ever players, Ronaldo Nazario, popularly known as ‘O Fenómeno.’
