Cristiano Ronaldo snubbed for Barcelona's Lionel Messi by Real Madrid icon

Former Real Madrid boss Fabio Capello, who won two La Liga titles with the club in 1997 and 2007, has snubbed Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo as football’s true genius. The Italian said: “Leo Messi is not a footballer. He is a genius and the only genius in world football. He has not won much silverware with Argentina but that is because he cannot do it all alone.” Capello did choose to praise Ronaldo, though, insisting he was taking Juventus up a level. Capello added: “Cristiano has woken up a lot of Juventus players. Bringing him to the club has been a wake-up call for many players and he has made them improve.”
