Conclusions from today's meeting: New date SET for the restart of the season

Premier League clubs intend to restart the season from June 8, The Daily Mirror reports.  There has been a discussion today over the possible options to finish the season. Clubs are optimistic that training sessions could restart from May 18.  That, however, could happen under a strict quarantine. The government has made it clear that there won’t be a special case for the clubs in terms of widespread testing.  Players, coaching staff, broadcasting staff and journalists should take tests before the matches and those actions could happen only after there will be absolute safety.  Clubs understand that further delays could lead to the finish end in August, but it is clear that they won’t risk the health of the people, if they are not guaranteed safety.  Earlier reports have suggested 9 clubs have united to offer a finish of the campaign by June 30.
