Denmark's Christian Eriksen has spoken out after suffering a cardiac arrest on the pitch during Denmark's 1-0 defeat to Finland on Saturday.
Eriksen required CPR after collapsing during the first half of the game after which the game was suspended, however, hours later it resumed, and Finland won as Joel Pohjanpalo scored the only goal of the game.
"Thank you, I won't give up. I feel better now - but I want to understand what's happened," he said in a short statement released through his agent to Gazzetta dello Sport.
"I want to say thank you all for what you did for me."
