Chelsea's transfer plans for the summer have been revealed. The Blues are considering the signing of Leicester City defender Ben Chilwell despite lining up alternative options for the left-back.
Chilwell is under contract until 2024 and Foxes sitting above Chelsea in the Premier League.
However, Football.London's Chelsea writer Oliver Harbord says Chilwell is still a target.
"Alex Telles is another player who will be looked at over the summer as a potential left-back option," he wrote in his Blues Q and A. "Emerson has been rarely used, while Marcos Alonso has certainly got himself back into the first team thinking.
"Meanwhile, youngster Ian Maatsen has just signed a new four-year deal, but the likelihood is that he is going to be loaned out to get more experience and is a more long-term prospect. But for the Blues in the short term, Cesar Azpilicueta is not the main solution for the left-back position. However, Ben Chilwell is also on the radar for the summer, along with Telles."
