Chelsea warned against Philippe Coutinho transfer amid Bayern Munich struggles

Former Chelsea captain Frank Leboeuf has urged Chelsea not to sign Philippe Coutinho.  Chelsea have held talks with Barcelona over a deal for former Liverpool playmaker. The Brazilian is coming to the end of a two-year loan spell at Bayern Munich and the Bundesliga giants have made clear that they will not activate a clause to buy the Brazilian permanently. However, Leboeuf has urged his old club to look elsewhere. Asked by ESPN whether he could see Coutinho fitting in at Chelsea, Leboeuf replied: “I don’t think so. Coutinho has been good with Liverpool, so far poor with Barcelona and Bayern Munich. “I would have lots of question marks seeing him coming to Chelsea, to bring what? We have young players, very talented, who are very promising. "We have good midfield players with [Mateo] Kovacic and Jorginho, to organise the game. I don’t know where his place would be. If I was the chairman, if I was the coach, I would be very hesitant to pick him up.” Source: The Mirror
