Chelsea outbid Real Madrid as Bayer Leverkusen receive TWO offers for Kai Havertz

Chelsea have reportedly made their first bid for Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz. Talks have been ongoing between the two clubs and an initial offer has now apparently been made. According to WinSports, Chelsea have offered the Bundesliga club £80million. The Blues want to sign with the midfielder a five-year contract worth £5m-a-year. Real also made their initial approach, putting £72m on the table with a similar length contract but valued at a lower £4.5m-a-year. Manchester United have also been keeping tabs on the Germany international. Chelsea and Real are attempting to strengthen their squads this summer. Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is keen to get his business done early having already signed Ajax ace Hakim Ziyech and RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner. Source: Express
