Chelsea lodge transfer ban appeal

Chelsea have launched an official appeal over their transfer ban-but their £200million summer splurge is still in doubt. The Blues had been hit with a two-window suspension but are hoping their appeal will allow them to delay the ban so they can spend big this summer. Chelsea had launched their official appeal, but are still making moves to scupper their plans of a mega-money influx this summer, FIFA confirmed. Chelsea’s expectation of a delay is based on previous cases where Barcelona, Real Madrid and Atletico were found guilty of similar charges. All three La Liga giants were allowed to spend in the next transfer window pending their appeals.
