Zenit Saint Petersburg president Alexander Medvedev: "Mkhitaryan? It's not a question for next transfer window"

As we have reported earlier last month, Henrikh Mkhitaryan has been linked with a move to Zenit Saint Petersburg. In an interview with RIA Novosti, the president of Zenit Saint Petersburg Alexander Medvedev spoke about the interest in the Arsenal midfielder. "During the meeting of the Lazarev Club, there was a Russian-Armenian meeting, therefore the name of Mkhitaryan was mentioned there as a football player who could potentially interest us. But he has a valid contract with Arsenal, this needs to be taken into account. This is not a question of the near future or the next transfer window," said Medvedev. Mkhitaryan's current contract at Arsenal runs until 2021. He has made 26 appearances overall this season and has scored and assisted 6 times.
