Chelsea have long been targeting West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice, and now they reportedly have chances to secure the transfer.
Frank Lampard's side were ultimately priced out of a deal for the Hammers ace, with the London Stadium club demanding a fee of somewhere in the region of £80million.
Though Chelsea would be forced to part with a huge amount of money to land Rice, the England international, according to Italian football journalist Fabrizio Romano,
via Chelsea News, is keen to join Chelsea in January.
Rice wants to seal a move across London, and it is reported that Chelsea will find it "difficult" to negotiate a deal with the Hammers.
However, should Chelsea prove victorious in the pursuit of the defensive-midfielder, he has already outlined his best position to Lampard, amid claims that the Blues boss could transform him into a centre-back.
