Marcos Alonso has named his stunning free-kick against Tottenham Hotspur as his favourite goal as a Chelsea player.

The 29-year-old netted six Premier League goals in his debut season and then getting another seven in the following campaign.

But the game where Chelsea fans will always remember the Spaniard was on August 20, 2017, when the Blues played against Spurs at Wembley.

Alonso netted a brace in the 2-1 victory over the London rivals.

“Best goal? It is hard to pick one, but I would have to say the free-kick at Wembley against Spurs,” Alonso said in a Q&A session on Chelsea’s Instagram page. “Yes, I think everyone will agree.”

As part of his Q&A session, Alonso was asked several questions, including his favourite basketball team, football idol and toughest players he has faced.

He also was asked which former player he would want back at Chelsea, and the left-back would want his fellow Spaniard back.

“The beast himself, and my good friend, Diego Costa,” Alonso added.
