Chelsea have been told they can't afford to drop Christian Pulisic from the team regardless of their reported summer spending spree after his impressive spell of form. ESPN pundit Shaka Hislop was full of praise for the American youngster.
Pulisic is starting to find form after a turbulent first season at Chelsea. The American winger has had to overcome multiple injuries throughout the campaign. But since the Premier League's restart, the £57million signing has started to come into his own, with two goals in his first two league games back.
"They can't [afford to lose him]," Hislop said. "The one thing he brings, and brings in abundance, is pace from deep in Chelsea's midfield. You saw that in full effect against Manchester City and you saw it again today.
"He's turned into a wonderful asset for Frank Lampard. He's proving to be a valuable member of the squad, and probably more valuable than we thought six or seven weeks ago. Long may it continue as well."
