The changes Unai Emery expected to make in first European game as Arsenal boss

Arsenal begin their Europa League campaign on Thursday nightwith Unai Emery expected to make plenty of changes to his starting XI. The Gunners will face FC Vorskla, a team who currently sit fifth in the Ukrainian Premier League following an inconsistent start of the season. This match will be the first European one for Unai Emery so he is expected to make changes to his team, with Bernd Leno expected to get the nod in goal over Petr Cech for his first start of the season. Stephan Lichtsteiner and Rob Holding are expected to come into the defence and Lucas Torreira could also be handed a first start, although the Uruguayan may well be rested for Sunday’s Premier League game against Everton. Mohamed Elneny, Alex Iwobi and Danny Welbeck are also likely to come into Emery’s starting XI for Thursday nights’ game. Attacking midfielder Emile Smith Rowe, who made such an impression during pre-season, didn’t feature at Ewood Park, while striker Eddie Nketiah and defender Julio Pleguezuelo were also left out by Ljungberg.
