Liverpool lost to Real Madrid with a memorable 3-1 score in the first leg of the Champions League quarterfinals. The first UEFA Champions League meeting between Real Madrid and Liverpool after 2018’s final started with a poor performance from the Premier League side. In the 27th minute of the game, Vinicius Junior opened the score for the La Liga giants. Marco Asensio doubled the lead for Real Madrid in the 36th minute and the first half ended with a 0-2 score. The saddest part of the first half for the Reds fans is that Liverpool didn’t manage to make a single shot during the half.

Liverpool started the second half with different energy and Mohamed Salah scored for the Reds in the 51st minute of the game.

However, the Reds conceded again as Vinicius scored his second goal for Real Madrid in the 65th minute of the game.

The second leg of the clash will take place on April 16. Click here to watch the highlights of the game.
