BREAKING: Maurizio Sarri makes £40million Genoa forward his No 1 January transfer target

Genoa forward Krzysztof Piatek has appeared to be No 1 transfer target for Chelsea head coach Maurizio Sarri. The 23-year-old who would cost £40million has nine goals in the seven games that he has started for Genoa in Serie A this season. Piatek joined Genoa in the summer and managed to establish himself as one of the hottest strikers in Europe this season. Reportedly, Napoli are also keen on luring Piatek’s services along with Juventus, Roma, Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund. Genoa chief Giorgio Perinetti said: “We should absolutely exclude possibility of Piatek being sold in January. “He can improve even more so it’s hard to imagine the parameters and set his valuation now.”
