Barcelona eyeing stunning £100m Marcus Rashford transfer

Barcelona are hoping to take advantage of United’s failure to agree a new deal with Marcus Rashford as Red Devils are going into Tuesday’s Champions League quarter-final second leg having lost the first-leg match (1-0). Rashford, who has one year left on his current contract, with United holding an option to extend for a further 12 months, has yet to agree a new deal, despite talks over several months. Reportedly, Barcelona are ready to pay stunning £100m for the United player. The reigning La Liga champions will have to offload big-name players in order to fund the deal, with former Liverpool playmaker Philippe Coutinho likely to leave to help the Rashford deal go through. United have offered Rashford a deal worth up to £300,000-a-week with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer keeping him as a key part of his future plans. But it remains unclear whether Rashford will agree to stay at United or will use the chance to join the Catalan giants. United suffered a 1-0 first-leg loss to the Spanish league champions but picked themselves up with a victory on Saturday, although United were sloppy and more than a little fortunate to overcome the Hammers.
