Solskjaer reveals double Manchester United injury boost ahead of Barcelona clash

Alexis Sanchez and Nemanja Matic are both included in a 22-man travelling party as Red Devils head to Spain looking to keep their dream of silverware alive for the season. The duo could be set to make a return from injury this week after both were named in  Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s trip to Camp Nou. Sanchez has not played for United since the start of March, when he suffered ligament damage in the Premier League victory over Southampton. Matic, meanwhile, has been absent for the past two weeks. The return of Matic hands a prospective major boost to United if he is able to play, with the Serbia international likely to slot into midfield as Solskjaer looks to mastermind his second remarkable European turnaround of the season. Speaking after arriving in Barcelona, Solskjaer said: "Fitness wise they are both available and of course for Alexis, who has played for this club before, it’s a big night. When he’s on the pitch I’m sure he will want to prove a point. Not just to Barcelona but also to us as well because he’s been injured and he’s not had a great season. Hopefully he can finish the season well because this is the business end. Let’s hope Sanchez can be happy with his performance." On United’s hopes of progressing in the Champions League, Solskjaer added: "Well of course the memory of PSG will help the players."
