Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta has revealed the one thing he liked last weekend in the match against Leicester City much more than that ‘sensational’ save made by Aaron Ramsdale.
The England international channelled his inner Manuel Neuer and leapt across to stop what looked like a certain goal from James Maddison.
Speaking about the save, the Gunners boss said, as per
Arsenal.com:
“It was sensational.
“But, (what) I liked the most was the reaction from the other teammates getting back, and Thomas (Partey) clearing the ball off the line. Because if (Ramsdale) makes that save, but they end up putting the ball into the net, it wouldn’t stand for anything.
“So, it’s not about a player, it’s about the team, and everybody’s involved in that. I’m happy because we prevented a big moment in the game.”
