REVEALED: Arsenal main January transfer target

Arsenal are planning a sensational swoop for Manchester United player Juan Mata. The Spanish midfielder has just eight months left to run on his current contract and is yet to be offered an improved deal by United. In his recent interview Mata has hinted that he would prefer to extend his deal at United but if no deal is offered Mata would move in order to stay in the Premier League. That leaves the door open for the Gunners to make a move for the 30-year-old, with boss Unai Emery keen on reuniting with his former Valencia colleague.
