Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta reveals how long Pablo Mari will be out injured

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has provided an injury update on Pablo Mari as he missed the Gunners’ goalless draw with Crystal Palace due to a tight calf.

Overall this season the 27-year-old has made just 8 appearances as he has suffered an ankle injury earlier in the season.

“No,” he said when asked if Mari was in contention to face Newcastle on Monday.

David Ornstein has provided an update on Mesut Ozil’s future at Arsenal. Ozil hasn’t played a single minute for the Gunners during this season and has been linked with a move to Fenerbahce.

The 32-year-old’s contract with Arsenal expires at the end of this season and according to Ornstein, the Gunners and Ozil have an agreement in principle to terminate contract with immediate effect.
