Arsenal handed transfer blow as club CEO confirmed Juventus talks for midfielder

Arsenal were handed a blow regarding the transfer of Manuel Locatelli. Sassuolo's CEO Giovanni Carnevali has given an important update on the future of their talisman Locatelli, amid heavily Arsenal links. Mikel Arteta are still in desperate search of a midfielder and the Italy international has emerged as a transfer target for Gunners after his impressive campaign at the Euros this summer.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano's latest tweet on the transfer saga read: 'Sassuolo CEO Carnevali to Sky: “Tomorrow we’ll have a direct contact with Juventus for Locatelli. He wants to join Juve”.   “We’d be happy to sell Manuel to Juve... but they need to pay the right fee. Arsenal made a bid to sign him and also a new English club is now in the race”.'
