Antoine Griezmann issues statement following Lionel Messi Barcelona rift claims

Barcelona forward Antoine Griezmann has refused being on bad terms with his teammates. Griezmann has joined the Catalan giants in the summer from Atletico Madrid. The France international has become a key player at Quique Setien's squad, having made 22 La Liga appearances and scoring 7 times for the club this campaign. However, France Football published an article, suggesting that the 28-year-old was "isolated" in Catalonia, adding, that the player's colleagues are jealous of his 2018 World Cup win with France. It was also claimed that his wife, Erika, was unhappy and preferred life in Madrid. Griezmann has responded to the reports via his communication team: "The statements that appear do not exist." Respected Spanish publication Sport also denied the rumors. Miki Soria wrote: "Nothing could be further from reality. These 'comments' do not exist. SPORT has learned that the forward has never spoken with France Football nor has he given them an interview. The comments which he supposedly said have never been said, not even to those closest to him."
