RB Leipzig left-back Angelino says that he has not given up on staying at Manchester City.
The 23-year-old, who is currently on loan at RB Leipzig, joined the Bundesliga side during this January transfer window and his contract with Leipzig ends in the summer of 2020.
“I went to Manchester when I was 16, and I got the thorn in my head from not settling down. But I’m still a Citizen and I don’t give up getting a place there,” Angelino told La Voz de Galicia.
Speaking about how his move to Leipzig came about, he said: “[Guardiola] said he was going to be delighted, that it was the perfect setting to see me again.
“It was an option that was there and that eventually came to fruition. It was the best option. Spectacular. Perfect for everything: the style, the team, the coach, the stadium, the fans… It took a while, but I’m very happy.”
