Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker has opened up on Virgil van Dijk’s injury and offered him some advice. The defender suffered an ACL injury in the Reds 2-2 draw with Everton and is set to undergo surgery.
During this season, Van Dijk has made 8 appearances in which he has scored one goal.
“We cannot deny we will miss Virgil,” he said.
“[But] Fab is a great player. We don't need to change the way we play but we will miss him, he's one of the best in the world.”
He continued: “It's bad not being involved. [It’s] the worst thing for a player. It's part of the job, injuries.
"We try to avoid them and prevent them but sometimes they happen. It was a long 3 weeks, like 3 months.
"It's always hard because you want to help. I believe in my faith and working hard helps me to make a fast recovery.
"Every injury you have on a ligament still feels something weird, not pain but it's just weird.
"It's nothing that puts limits on my way to play. I feel comfortable with that."
