Alexandre Lacazette’s stunning 2018 record proves his influence is growing increasingly in No. 9 shirt

Alexandre Lacazette has enjoyed a brilliant start to Arsenal's season after scoring three goals in all competitions so far this term. He has proved himself to be an ideal predatory striker and to provide the Gunners dynamism and ruthlessness upfront. He also inherited the No.9 shirt from Lucas Perez which previously belonged to Francis Jeffers, Davor Sukur, Julio Baptista, Park Chu-young. Last season Lacazette scored eight times in his first 15 appearances but endured a sharp loss of form having scored just once in his next 13 appearances. He was heavily criticized after missing two golden chances to rescue a point for the Gunners in February and then undergo a surgery on a knee problem. However,  in 2017/18 season he took his personal tally to 17 goals helping the Gunners reach the Europa League semi-finals. The striker has been directly involved in the Gunners' 18 goals in 2018 - scoring 14 goals and has made four assists. Lacazette is forming a potent partnership with Aubameyang for Emery’s side and proved himself to be a player worth to wear No. 9.
