Former England national team striker Alan Shearer has hailed Everton’s decision to appoint Carlo Ancelotti.
Italian has replaced Marco Silva during this campaign and has made a serious impact, as the Toffees have collected 18 points in 11 Premier League games.
During the Match of the Day podcast, former Blackburn and Newcastle striker Shearer has answered the question, whether Everton fans recognize they are fortunate to have a specialist on charge of the team, who is considered among the bests in the world.
“I think they do and I actually said that when they signed him as manager,” Shearer said (cited by LiverpoolECHO).
“I know where Everton want to be and the money that they have thrown at it already and that must have been a factor in him choosing to go there. But I think in terms of how lucky Everton are to have someone of that ability and his standing in the game, then that also tells you what was said to him to entice him into the football club.” he added.
