Premier League responds to Udinese director’s claim that the SEASON will NOT be finished

Premier League have reportedly denied the claims from Udinese director Pierpaolo Merino, that they will decide not to restart the season amid the coronavirus outbreak. With 9-10 match-days remaining, FA and PL are considering the options of finishing the season. At this point the season is stopped for an uncertain time, but the football authorities in England hope that by the end of May/start of June they will be able to restart the season. Matches could be played behind the closed-doors, however the clubs will be sure they will earn the money from TV broadcasting and will decide the winners and losers on the pitch. Udinese director Pierpaolo Marino has revealed, “the Premier League is about to announce its season is over.” Mariano’s club shares owners with Watford. Belgium’s Jupiler League declared it would not continue following coronavirus pandemic, although Club Brugge had already been crowned champions. “The Belgian Federation has already sanctioned the end of their league, despite the threats of sanctions from UEFA,” Marino told Sportitalia. “In England, the Premier League is about to release a similar statement, because the situation there is becoming very, very serious. I frankly just hope we can enjoy football again after the coronavirus. “It doesn’t matter how long it takes, we need to get out of this danger zone. I am worried for the next seasons, not the old one.”
