Marouane Fellaini has admitted being in contact with Tottenham head coach Jose Mourinho.
Fellaini, who currently plays for Shandong Luneng, has stated that he is happy in China despite rumors over a move to the north London club.
The 32-year-old midfielder moved to China at the beginning of the year from Manchester United just a few months after Mourinho was sacked.
According to Belgian outlet Les Sports+ Fellaini is Mourinho’s first priority in the January transfer window, even though the midfielder has two years remaining on his contract, which The Sun claim is worth £350,000 a week.
Speaking to Eleven Sports, Fellaini responded to those rumors:
“Jose is special for me,” he said.
“We text each other, we call each other from time to time. He’s taken over at Spurs and he’s doing well. I wish him all the best. But I am good where I am now.”
Fellaini has made 34 appearances for Luneng this season so far and scored 12 goals from midfield.
