Jurgen Klopp has admitted that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is uspet and frustrated from Thursday night’s decision.
The Liverpool midfielder has started just 12 games in all competitions season.
On Thursday the Reds faced Arsenal, Oxlade-Chamberlain’s former club, yet the player received only 15 minutes.
Speaking in his pre-match conference ahead of Sunday’s clash, Klopp admitted that the 28-year-old was ‘100% disappointed’.
“I’m very happy with Ox but I know he was disappointed [at not starting vs. Arsenal],” the boss said.
“I get it, I 100 percent would’ve been. The thing is that in the situation we are in we had to think how we start and how can we change.”
