Ziyech, James: Chelsea injury updates ahead of Manchester City clash

Chelsea are set to face Manchester City in the Premier League on Sunday, should the game go ahead as planned. The Blues will be looking to have a successful match, following the club's 1 - 1 draw with Aston Villa, while ahead of the clash, here are the latest injury news. Frank Lampard has revealed that Hakim Ziyech could make his return against the Citizens, after being sidelined since suffering a hamstring injury during the 3-1 victory over Leeds United on December 5. "There’s a possibility he could be fit for Manchester City if it goes ahead on Sunday. "He’s certainly progressing to the point where he’s very close to fitness," Chelsea boss said. Reece James missed the Aston Villa clash and is still doubtful to feature against City, after picking up a hamstring issue. However, despite the latest injury setback, Lampard was going to play Cesar Azpilicueta instead of the right-back. "Reece James has got a small hamstring issue, not saying that’s why Azpi played, I probably would’ve played him anyway," the manager said.
