Xherdan Shaqiri's agent says he deserves "a lot more" amid Liverpool exit rumours

Liverpool star Xherdan Shaqiri's agent and brother has hinted that his client could be set for a new challenge in the summer. The agent believes, Liverpool are set to receive a lot of offers for the player. Shaqiri has made just six Premier League appearances this season after struggling with injury. The 28-year-old's contract runs until 2023.

Speaking to Kosovan TV station KTV Erdin Shaqiri said: "I think there will be many offers for Xherdan in the summer. Already in January there was concrete interest from two or three clubs. These - their names have already been taken up in various media - will knock again." His brother added: "Xherdan's situation in Liverpool is not easy because of several minor injuries that lasted longer than we thought. Jurgen Klopp is in talks with him about more game practice - we have to wait and see. I think Xherdan deserves a lot more. He was unlucky with his injuries, but every time he could play again, he did his job and changed the game." Sevilla and Roma have been linked with a move for Shaqiri in recent times.
