Xherdan Shaqiri warned "unbelievable psychological pressure" awaits when Liverpool face Red Star Belgrade

Red Star Belgrade general director warned  Xherdan Shaqiri stating that he will face "unbelievable psychological pressure”. He was even questioning whether Shaqiri will feature in that game or no. Liverpool will be traveling to Belgrade for the Group C game on November 6. As Shaqiri celebrated a last-minute winner for Switzerland against Serbia by performing an Albanian Eagle celebration towards Serbia fans, he will have a hostile reception from Serbian fans. The cause of this is political issues between Serbia and Kosovo. Shaqiri was born to Kosovar Albanian parents in the former Yugoslav city of Gjilan, which now forms part of Kosovo, a former Serbian province with a mainly Albanian population that declared independence in 2008, although Serbia do does not recognise that independence.
