FC Zenit Saint Petersburg were crowned as Russian Premier League champions of 2020/2021 season. Dejan Lovren, who joined Zenit from Liverpool in the summer of 2020, posted a message on Instagram and received congratulations from different footballers one of which was his former teammte Xherdan Shaqiri.
Lovren took to
Instagram and wrote: "Good morning Champions.
"Because of this I came to Zenit. My second trophy in the first season. Congratulations to the whole team, the coaches staff and all the employees in the club.
"Dear fans thank you for your support throughout the season, you went on long journeys where temperatures were extremely low, and where we were not at our level, that shows how much you care about the club.
"Спасибо Thank you @zenit_spb"
